This summer, Skagen is proud to announce its 2022 Pride collection featuring a limited-edition watch inspired by the new pride and transgender flags in the brand’s iconic Grenen platform, as well as an interchangeable watch strap and beaded bracelet. In celebration of Pride 2022, Skagen is donating 100% of its proceeds from the sale of the pride collection (excluding shipping and taxes) to InterPride to support their mission of promoting LGBTQIA+ on an international level to increase collaboration, networking, and communication among Pride Organisations, act as a source of education and encourage diverse communities to hold and attend Pride events. Their vision is ultimately a world with full cultural, social, and legal equality for all.

Inspired by the new Pride and Transgender flags, the pinnacle piece in the collection is the Limited-Edition Grenen 37mm watch, featuring colourful Arabic indexes on the dial and sustainable materials like the rainbow woven strap containing 50% rPet, as well as a case made with at least 50% recycled stainless steel. Each watch case also features a specially numbered caseback. The collection also includes an interchangeable watch strap, and beaded bracelet all honouring a spectrum of love. The Limited Edition watch will retail for £129, the interchangeable watch strap will retail for £35 and the beaded bracelet at £39. All of Skagen’s proceeds from the sales of these items will go to InterPride from May 17 through June 30, 2022.
“Skagen continues to be inspired by Denmark and its progressive stance when it comes to inclusivity. We’re proud that our Danish sensibility reflects a culture of acceptance for all members of the LGBTQIA+ community,” says Steve Evans, EVP Chief Brand Officer. “We are also excited to announce that now through June 30, 2022, 100% of proceeds (excluding taxes and shipping) from the Skagen Pride collection will be donated to InterPride. This international organisation works directly with over 400 LGBTQIA+ groups worldwide, providing resources for human rights, racism and oppression awareness, scholarships and more.”

Founded in 1982, InterPride represents the global Pride movement of over 1,200 organisations and is a membership-based organisation with more than 400 active members from over 70 countries, providing resources for human rights, racism and oppression awareness, scholarships, and more. InterPride is the official owner of the WorldPride brand — the highly- anticipated biannual global event that promotes visibility and awareness of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues on a global scale. Skagen is thrilled to support this organisation that is making a difference in the lives of the LGBTQI+ community around the world.
“After a successful partnership last year, InterPride is delighted and grateful to the fantastic team at Skagen for supporting us again in 2022. With their donations in 2021, we have expanded our human rights initiatives and our grants program to the global LGBTQIA+ community,” said Julian Sanjivan, Co-President at InterPride.
