Starlet is the second queen to sashay away from series four of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. Eleven became ten this week, as the queens continue in their bid to be crowned The UK’s Next Drag Race Superstar on BBC Three’s RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

In this week’s episode, Starlet, 23 from Surrey became the second queen to sashay away from the competition. She faced Jonbers Blonde as both queens lip synced for their lives to About You Now by Sugababes. Singer and songwriter FKA twigs joined RuPaul, Michelle Visage and Graham Norton on the judging panel as the second queen was eliminated from the competition.
Singer songwriter Cathy Dennis also joined as a special celebrity guest as a song writing coach ahead of the Queens performing as two girl groups at the “Yass-tonbury Festival”. Starlet’s group The Triple Threats were put in the bottom after their performance of “Come Alive” failed to win over the judges.
FKA twigs said of Starlet’s girl group performance: “As a performer, if you’re going to be soft and alluring, there still needs to be that intensity and bite. Once you harness that, you’re going to be incredible.”
Upon leaving the competition, RuPaul told Starlet: “Starlet, the galaxy is full of stars but there is only one Starlet. Now, Sashay Away.” Starlet said: “Thank you for making my dream come true and now I have to find a new one.” She continued: “I’m really sad to be going but I’m really proud to have got here. All the other queens were really wonderful. I think I’ve got a wonderful group of people I can call my sisters. I can’t wait to see them after the show.”
In a message to her fellow queens, Starlet left a message on the mirror of the werk room mirror, saying: “Every fairy tale has an ending, but this is only the beginning xxx”. The remaining queens continue to battle it out to be crowned the UK’s Next Drag Superstar.
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK returns on Thursday 6 October from 9pm on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.

How would you describe your experience in the competition?
It was wonderful and challenging but overall, it was an incredible experience. To be able to showcase my drag in the competition was an amazing opportunity and I would do it again every day.
What was your favourite part of the experience?
I’d say my favourite part was meeting everybody and just being exposed to this experience with everyone together. Also, getting to see RuPaul in person for the first time was cool! It was also an incredible experience being able to dress as Patsy from Absolutely Fabulous in front of the legendary Dame Joanna Lumley. There were just too many incredible experiences to count.
What’s next for Starlet?
I’m excited to get into all the amazing opportunities that are waiting for me and I can’t wait to see what the future holds! I am hoping that were will be lots of touring, lots of fashion and lots of make up. Fingers crossed!
What advice would you give to any budding drag queens watching?
Always work from your heart and follow your dreams. There may be challenges at times and things you’ll learn along the way doing drag but it’s important to never give up and chase what you want in life. No matter what it takes!
